Our chicken coops were created after we saw many shortcomings in our very first chicken coop. Like others, we purchased a “kit chicken coop” that NEEDED ASSEMBLY. The coop had a very small “run” and was rated for 7 chicken total capacity. Well, overtime, as the chicks grew into chickens, my wife (main chicken supervisor) grew to really, really dislike our chicken coop!!!
It was small, hard to clean, no walk in door, and was stationary. Which in itself produces an ever occurring problem. FLYS!!!! Lots of unwanted FLY traffic! Also, it was built FLIMSY and the longevity was a question from the get go! I could go on and on, but you get the point! Time to build a NEW AND IMPROVED CHICKEN COOP!
